CareSeek Advertising & Promotions Policy

CareSeek and it’s "Powered-By-CareSeek" affiliate sites accept advertising and sponsorship under strict guidelines.  In this policy, "Advertising" includes the use of banner, badge, contextual advertising, sponsored content, sponsored links and promotions, and other contextual messages. CareSeek has complete discretion with respect to interpretation and enforcement of this policy and reserves the right to change or modify this Advertising Policy at any time by posting a revised policy to the CareSeek site.  You should review this Advertising Policy and any other incorporated policies from time to time to understand the terms and conditions that apply to your use of the website.  Advertising on the CareSeek sites will be subject to the other policies adopted by CareSeek, including its Posting Guidelines, Privacy Policies, and its Terms and Conditions.

Editorial Independence

CareSeek recognizes and maintains a distinct separation between Advertising content, member-submitted content and editorial content. CareSeek does not allow advertisers or sponsors to influence editorial decisions in the creation or presentation of content, or to make any changes to its editorial content.  Members or users may not publish content, web addresses, or messages designed to promote business activities or any commercial activities, per the Posting Guidelines. 

Requirements for Advertising

Advertisers on the CareSeek website must only offer products or services, which are readily available for purchase at the advertised price (with noted tax and delivery fees).  All Advertising will be clearly identifiable as such, and will be distinguishable from editorial content. Any Advertising that could be misconstrued as editorial content will be clearly labeled as an advertisement.  CareSeek reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to immediately and without prior notice to the advertiser take down any advertisements that do not comply with this Advertising Policy.

Selection of Advertising

CareSeek will not accept Advertising for any product or service that, in CareSeek’s opinion and sole discretion, is not in good taste, in not in accord with the CareSeek mission and objectives, is dangerous or harmful, is not effective, contains false or misleading claims, or is offensive to any individual or group of individuals based on age, color, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or handicap. CareSeek will not accept Advertising related to tobacco, firearms, alcohol, gambling, or pornographic products or the simulation of news or an emergency.  

CareSeek reserves the right to decline any submitted Advertising or to discontinue at any time, and for any reason, the posting of any Advertising previously accepted. CareSeek will provide prompt notice to the advertiser upon rejection, cancellation, or removal of any Advertising, together with an explanation following the rejection, cancellation, or removal. CareSeek also reserves the right to determine the appropriate placement of the Advertising on the CareSeek sites.

Search Results and Sponsored Links

CareSeek retains the exclusive right to determine the way in which any and all search results for specific information by keyword or topic are displayed on the CareSeek sites. CareSeek search results are not influenced based on monetary incentives provided by Advertisers or Sponsors. "Sponsored Links", which are listings that have been purchased by companies that want to have links to their sites appear adjacent to search results in response to specific terms, will be labeled clearly as "Sponsored" so that users are able to identify such sponsored links and make informed decisions about the content each user wishes to view.

No Endorsement

CareSeek is not responsible for determining if a product or service is effective or ineffective, makes false claims or otherwise should not be accepted, and under no circumstances shall CareSeek's acceptance of any Advertisement be considered an endorsement of the products and/or services advertised or for the company that manufactures, distributes, or promotes such products or services.  In addition, CareSeek does not endorse or guarantee any content, material, products or services contained on or accessible through links to other Internet sites from the CareSeek sites. 

No Advertising shall be permitted which may injure the good name or reputation of CareSeek, the site or any of its "Powered-By-CareSeek" affiliate sites
